"Neftepolk" from Chechnya came under fire near Kherson

On October 24, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the headquarters of Kadyrov’s “Nefteregiment” in a school building in the village of Kairy, Kherson region. At least 23 people were killed.
The impact was made from a HIMARS installation. Dozens of military personnel were trapped under the rubble. The Chechen opposition telegram channel 1Adat reported that about 100 people from the special unit of the Chechen National Guard "Neftepolk" were killed as a result of the shelling. The head of the Kherson OVA, Sergei Khlan, reported 40 dead and 60 seriously wounded.
On October 27, Kadyrov in his telegram channel published other data on losses near Kherson: 23 people were killed, 58 were wounded, four of them were seriously injured.
“On the same day, as an act of retaliation, our fighters carried out a sortie, during which about 70 Banderaites were sent straight to hell,” Kadyrov wrote. He also said that “we allocate 1 million rubles to the families of each person killed in the Northern Military District zone, and the state pays another 12 million to the family. The wounded receive three million. In addition, we provide pilgrimage to holy Mecca for the families of the victims.”
Kadyrov called on his fellow countrymen to study military affairs: “We must all be fully prepared for any development of the situation... Learn at least military affairs... In Gudermes we have the most modern base with free military training courses. There is nothing stopping those who want to come there and master military skills.”
On the same day, Kadyrov issued another statement in which he again criticized the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel General Alexander Lapin. “For the last few days I have been trying to establish contact with him through my special forces commanders. But my guys can't find him. Shouldn't the commander be in his place and in touch with his colleagues? And all because I want to talk to him about the recent enemy breakthrough in the area of the defense line of the settlements of Terny, Torskoye and Yampolovka, which 5 armored personnel carriers and 50 neo-Nazis crossed without a fight and where Lapin was responsible. As a result, in order to help stop the enemy’s advance in his sector, a decision was made to remove the city of Rubezhnoye from the defense and transfer one reinforced battalion and one company.
For a whole day, the forces deployed there could not find Lapin’s fighters. We had to hold the defense ourselves and then successfully move forward. At the same time, all these days, Internet resources only talked about the great exploits of the Central Military District under the leadership of Lapin, with whom no one could even get in touch. As a result, the demoralized soldiers abandoned by him without communications, food and ammunition ended up in the village. Rubizhnoye, Kremennaya, from where they are still caught and returned to the front line, but they have already failed almost to the second line.
History is repeating itself with the surrender of the Krasny Liman defense line. One to one. And we have so far avoided a tragedy in this sector only due to the correct deployment of forces on the second echelon of the defense line. Now Lapin is defending Svatovo and Makeevka.
I ask myself: is no one interested in how Lapin received a star for the capture of Lisichansk, which he was not even in? No one is interested in how he managed to pass Krasny Liman and why there was no check? No one is interested in how he managed to open a gap for the enemy and why there was no check again? Does anyone care where he is now? Doesn’t anyone care who covers him so well?”
In conclusion, Kadyrov stated that “tactical and personnel changes are needed. Now, not tomorrow."
“Putin’s Chef” and creator of “Wagner PMC” Yevgeny Prigozhin supported the head of Chechnya: “Kadyrov’s expressive statement, of course, is not at all my style. But I can say: “Ramzan, handsome, burn.” All these buffoons - with machine guns barefoot to the front "- said Prigozhin.
Political scientist Abbas Gallyamov considers the statements of Kadyrov and Prigozhin an attempt to distance themselves from defeat: “It’s not us who are losing the war, it’s them, the Ministry of Defense.”
According to another expert, member of the board of the Liberal Mission Foundation Sergei Zhavoronkov, monetary interests are behind these high-profile battles.
“Minister of Defense Shoigu and the Timchenko clan associated with him have control over a budget of 4.5 billion rubles this year and almost 5 trillion next year. Kadyrov and Prigozhin would like to manage this money themselves,” the political scientist believes.
