A resident of Dagestan was arrested for allegedly calling for independence in the North Caucasus
The Supreme Court of Dagestan arrested Islam Musagadzhiev for two months on charges of public calls for activities directed against the security of the state. According to investigators, during the search they found 11 Molotov cocktails and leaflets calling for independence of the Caucasus from Russia. Musagadzhiev was also suspected of administering the telegram channel “Morning of Dagestan”, although this information was denied on the channel itself.
The minimum punishment provided for by the article incriminated against Musagadzhiev is a fine in the amount of 100 to 500 thousand rubles or imprisonment for a term of two to four years.
