Police in Russia's North Ossetia have launched an inquiry following a campaign of online harassment targeting women through the Telegram channel Kavkazskaya Obshchina ("Caucasian Community"). The channel's administrators published women's personal information, insulted them and issued threats of violence over behaviour they claimed violated Caucasian traditions.
Armenia failed to arrange a meeting between Pashinyan and Trump
Despite all attempts by Yerevan to organize a meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and US President Donald Trump in Washington, this failed. This was reported by the local newspaper Hraparak.
It is noted that all possible channels were used for this purpose, including the country's Foreign Ministry and the Armenian Embassy in the United States. According to the publication, after the failure, Yerevan wants to at least arrange a meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Hraparak added that many representatives of the Armenian community in Washington refused to participate in the meeting with Pashinyan, scheduled for February 3. According to the newspaper, they fear that the Armenian leader will again touch upon the topic of the Armenian Genocide, questioning it, as was the case in Switzerland.
