Baku Accuses Yerevan of Shelling Border Positions

Amid the discussion of a peace treaty between the two countries, Baku has once again accused Yerevan of escalating the conflict. A message appeared on the Telegram channel of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that today, April 2, from 13:55 to 14:05, units of the Armenian armed forces periodically attacked the positions of the Azerbaijani army from positions located in the direction of the Istisu settlement of the Keshishkend district. It is noted that the shelling was carried out with small arms.

The Armenian Defense Ministry rejected the accusations. In a statement published on its Telegram channel, it is said that the message of the Azerbaijani side does not correspond to reality."

The last exchange of accusations of opening fire between Baku and Yerevan took place two days ago. In addition, earlier, from March 16 to 21, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry daily announced shelling of border positions from the territory of Armenia, but the Armenian side rejected all accusations.
