Chechnya, Dagestan and KBR are named leaders in commitment to a healthy lifestyle

The regions of the North Caucasian Federal District are again recognized as leaders in the population’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle, according to a study by RIA Novosti. At the end of 2022, the first three places in the ranking for this indicator are occupied by Chechnya (97.5 points), Dagestan (97.2 points) and Kabardino-Balkaria (90 points).

Ingushetia is in 9th place (82 points), Karachay-Cherkessia is in 16th (78.2), Stavropol Territory is in 21st (76.5), North Ossetia is in 27th (71.1) ).

The worst results are in the Magadan Region (33.9), Kamchatka Territory (33.5) and the Jewish Autonomous Region (21.8).

When making calculations, experts took into account the proportion of residents involved in physical education and sports, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, the number of crimes committed while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as the proportion of people employed in jobs with harmful and/or dangerous working conditions.
