Chechnya was named the leader in the North Caucasian Federal District in terms of the dynamics of tourist visits

In 2023, the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District were visited by 9.3 million tourists, which is 17.7% higher than the level of 2022. This was stated by the Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District Yuri Chaika.

The leader in growth was Chechnya - the number of vacationers there exceeded the 2022 figure by 28%. In second place in terms of dynamics is Kabardino-Balkaria (+26%), in third is Stavropol Region (+24%).

“Almost year-round skiing is already available on Elbrus. Arkhyz and Dombay are developing dynamically. Veduchi, Mamison and Armkhi have a great future. In Dagestan, the length of the sea coastline is more than 540 km,” Chaika noted.
