During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
Dagestan and Ingushetia are among the leaders in life expectancy
The highest life expectancy was recorded in Dagestan and Moscow - 79.8 and 79.3 years, respectively. Ingushetia ranks third in the ranking – 79.2.
The lowest rates were recorded in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (66.5 years), the Republic of Tyva (66.5 years) and the Trans-Baikal Territory (67.1 years). In the country as a whole, life expectancy was 73.4 years.
Among the federal districts, the Northwestern Federal District is in first place - 77 years old, the Central Federal District is in second place (74.79 years), and the Northwestern Federal District is in third place (73.83 years).
