Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the European Commission has been provided with complete and reliable information on the activities of the Kulevi port, confirming compliance with the sanctions regime. The statement came amid discussions of the 20th EU sanctions package against Russia, which, according to media reports, may include the Georgian port.
Many natives of the North Caucasus are wanted by the international criminal police Interpol at the request of Russia. They are under threat of deportation. Activists of the organization "Dagestan National Center" in Kiev announced the collection of signatures for a petition on the website of the President of Ukraine with a proposal to initiate the exclusion of Russia from Interpol.
The initiators propose to exclude the Russian Federation for persecution of people for political reasons, fabrication of criminal cases against opponents, torture and inhuman treatment in places of deprivation of liberty.
