Delymkhanov: We equate miners with terrorists
State Duma deputy Adam Delymkhanov said that residents of Chechnya who engage in illegal cryptocurrency mining will be severely punished and equated with terrorists. According to him, the miners' actions are causing problems with electricity.
"If similar cases are revealed, which also entail problems with electricity in the entire district, village or city, those guilty of this will be severely punished. We equate them with terrorists, as their actions harm the entire society," said Delymkhanov.
From January 1, 2025, a complete ban on mining will be introduced in Chechnya and other regions of the North Caucasus, which will last until March 15, 2031. Delymkhanov urged citizens to report cases of illegal activity. In his opinion, despite the ban, some residents of Chechnya may continue to engage in illegal activities.
