Twice Hero of Chechnya – Adam Kadyrov Receives New Award

The son of the head of Chechnya, 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov, has received the title of Hero of the Republic for the second time. He was first awarded in October 2023 after the beating of Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in the Koran arson case, in a pretrial detention center.

Chechnya's Prime Minister, Magomed Daudov, announced the awarding of the Hero of the Republic title to Adam Kadyrov. The official statement noted that the award was given for "exceptional service to the country and active work to fully support the special military operation."

18-year-old Adam Kadyrov serves as an aide to the head of Chechnya and is the secretary of the republic's Security Council. Since February 2022, his service record has expanded to include at least 22 different awards. Among them are the “Defender of the Chechen Republic” medal, the republic’s highest order, as well as insignia from Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Tatarstan.
