Another defendant in the Kalimatov case received a term for theft from the Pension Fund

The Cherkessk City Court sentenced the former deputy head of the center for recalculation and payment of pensions of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in Ingushetia to four years in a fraud case. The former head of the federal postal service of Ingushetia, Magomed-Bashir Kalimatov, who is the older brother of the head of the republic, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, is also involved in this criminal case.

It follows from the indictment that in 2020, the defendant was part of a criminal organization. Its members organized the illegal recalculation of pensions and the accrual of one-time payments to residents of Ingushetia without their knowledge for the purpose of theft.

The organization was created by the head of the Pension Fund branch in the republic, Islam Seinaroev, and the head of the local branch of the Russian Post, Kambulat Sukiyev. In total, it included 34 people, most of whom were arrested, including Kalimatov. It was noted that his actions contained elements of a crime under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft by fraud).
