The head of Chechnya has sent additional forces to search for a missing person in Ingushetia

The search for 27-year-old Bekkhan Aushev, who went missing on the Assa River in Ingushetia, has been ongoing for fifteen days. Despite a large-scale operation, the man's whereabouts have not yet been determined.

Every day, rescuers, police officers, members of the Russian National Guard, and volunteers re-examine the mountain riverbed and shoreline. According to the republic's authorities, the search is complicated by strong currents, deep holes, fallen trees, and huge boulders, forcing many areas to be searched almost entirely by hand.

Specialists from neighboring regions of the North Caucasus have also joined the operation. In recent days, law enforcement agencies from Chechnya have also been providing assistance. The head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said he ordered the deployment of additional forces after a personal appeal from the missing man's relatives.

"The relatives of the missing man previously contacted me asking for assistance. "Of course, we couldn't remain silent about this tragedy. I have instructed regional services to join the ongoing efforts and provide all necessary assistance to our colleagues from the neighboring republic," the head of Chechnya wrote on his Telegram channel.

Following his instructions, Sharip Delimkhanov, head of the Russian National Guard's Chechen branch, arrived at the scene to coordinate interactions between Chechen units and the search operation.

Akhmat-1 riot police officers, along with rescuers and volunteers, are currently searching the Assa River channel, its banks, and the surrounding area. According to Kadyrov, the search will continue "until we achieve a result."

Bekkhan Aushev disappeared on July 21 in the Solnechnaya Dolina area near the village of Alkun in the Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia. The search operation has been ongoing since then. The republic's government thanked all those involved, particularly acknowledging the assistance provided by Chechen services and volunteers.
