The head of Dagestan named the possible cause of a major fire

The cause of the fire near the village of Khryug in the Akhtynsky district is the human factor. A local resident set fire to dry grass near the mountain, and from there the fire spread further. The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to him, there is no threat to settlements, social and other important facilities. The Emergencies Ministry rescuers are doing everything possible to localize and extinguish the fire.

“Any careless actions with fire can lead to irreversible consequences. The beautiful Dagestan nature needs careful treatment, and a fire is always easier to prevent than to extinguish!” Melikov concluded.
