Activist of the Azerbaijan People’s Front party Zamin Salayev is on a hunger strike for 65 days in Baku SIZO. He is in a serious condition.
«Salaev can not walk. He was brought to the meeting. He has severe dizziness, wounds appeared on the body», - said the lawyer. The detainee was not transferred to a medical unit. Counsel noted that despite his serious condition, Salaev intended to continue his hunger strike.
On February 8, a court in Baku arrested Zamin Salayev for three months. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him for hooliganism and the use of force. He himself claimed that the accusation against him was false and that he was punished for criticizing the authorities on social networks.
