On August 10, a high alert regime was introduced in Dagestan due to heavy rainfall in nine districts and the city of Izberbash. More than half of the monthly precipitation fell in a few hours.
In Makhachkala, streets are flooded, in Untsukulsky, Botlikhsky and Gunibsky districts, roads are washed out. Hail and broken power lines were also recorded in Gunibsky district. Local residents report mudflows.
In Makhachkala, some city residents are left without electricity. Due to this, elevators and pumps that supply water to houses do not work.
