Six candidates for the post of President of Azerbaijan are known

Today, two more people were nominated to participate in the early presidential elections in Azerbaijan. These are the chairman of the All-Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, member of the country's parliament Gudrat Hasanguliyev and the leader of the National Front Party, deputy Razi Nurullayev.

Hasanguliyev was a presidential candidate in the 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018 elections. Nurullayev was also nominated in 2018.

Earlier, the chairman of the Great Azerbaijan Party, Elshad Musayev, nominated his candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections in the country. Similar statements were made by the chairman of the board of the Center for Social Research, deputy of the Azerbaijani parliament Zahid Oruj and the head of the Great Meeting party and the culture committee of the parliament Fazil Mustafa.

On February 7, 2024, early presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan. The corresponding decree was signed by the current President Ilham Aliyev, who is the main candidate. He has been in power since 2003.
