In 2024, the total quota for Muslims from Russia for the Hajj was 25 thousand people. An important condition is that only holders of biometric passports valid for 10 years will be admitted. In addition, entry into Saudi Arabia is only permitted on Hajj visas.

On April 15, the Russian Federation ends the entry into the electronic system of the Hajj mission of a complete list of Russian pilgrims by name.
