Stavropol Krai became the leader among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in terms of the number of vacationers in sanatoriums

In the first four months of 2025, 256.5 thousand people visited Stavropol Krai sanatoriums, which is 2.2% more than in the same period last year. The region took second place in the country in terms of the number of tourists, only Krasnodar Krai had more – 343.4 thousand people.

In second place in the North Caucasus Federal District in terms of the number of people visiting sanatoriums is Kabardino-Balkaria, with 16.1 thousand people. The demand for vacations in the republic’s health resorts increased by 7.9%. Dagestan is in third place in the North Caucasus – 4.4 thousand vacationers, their number increased by 0.7%. At the same time, a decrease in demand for vacations in sanatoriums was revealed in North Ossetia – minus 27.5%. Only 1.6 thousand people visited them in four months.

Overall, the North Caucasus Federal District ranked third among districts in terms of the number of vacationers at health resorts. They received 282.8 thousand guests, which is 2.3% more than in the same period last year.

The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
