The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People called for strengthening support for Ukraine and for excluding Russia from the UN.

The Executive Body of the Crimean Tatars, the Milli Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, based in Ukraine issued an appeal. In it, the sponsors called on the international community to increase political, military and financial assistance to Ukraine until its sovereignty and territorial integrity were fully established.
The Presidium of the Majlis also requests the states to deprive the Russian Federation of the status of a permanent member of the UN Security Council and to exclude it from the organization.
We express our support and gratitude to the Crimeans, who do not accept the invasion of the Russian Federation in Crimea and continue to remain loyal to Ukraine. We call on all citizens living in Crimea to remain united, support political prisoners and help families who have been harassed and persecuted by the Russian authorities».
