Mufti of Dagestan presented a gift to a student who saved a child in Astrakhan

Mufti of Dagestan Akhmad-Afandi Abdullayev presented a personalized watch to Khalibrahim Gadzhiakhmedov. In March, he saved a drowning child in Astrakhan.

"We want that in any region of Russia, if a person does something bad, something mean, that people would say: "This is not a Dagestani. A Dagestani cannot do something bad," Abdullayev said at the meeting.

He wished the young man and his family long life.

Earlier, Khalibrahim Gadzhiakhmedov was nominated for a state award. On March 21, a student of the pediatric faculty of the Astrakhan Medical University was taking a walk. On Krasnaya Naberezhnaya Street, he noticed two children playing near the water. One of them fell into the canal and began to drown. The young man immediately rushed to help. He pulled the child out and, using medical skills, performed artificial respiration. Thanks to the help provided, the boy came to his senses.
