Fires Break Out in Kuban Region Due to Falling Drone Debris

Overnight into October 8, the Kuban region was among the southern Russian areas targeted by drone attacks. In Krasnodar, UAV fragments fell onto the grounds of a local enterprise, damaging a building and sparking a fire. The regional operational headquarters reported that the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no casualties; authorities did not disclose the name of the facility.

Fires caused by falling debris also broke out at civilian infrastructure facilities in the Dinskoy, Pavlovsky, and Krasnoarmeysky districts. Official reports indicate there were no casualties in any of these incidents. Notably, the Krasnodar Territory was not included in the list of regions where UAVs were destroyed, as published by the Ministry of Defense.

In the Rostov region, the governor reported that air defense forces destroyed over 30 UAVs overnight. The attack was reportedly repelled in the city of Kamensk and five districts: Kamensky, Millerovsky, Neklinovsky, Chertkovsky, and Sholokhovsky. No casualties or damage were reported.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, between 8:00 PM on October 7 and 8:00 AM on October 8, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 399 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs.
