Plane en route from Tehran to Grozny accidentally landed on runway under construction

An Avro RJ-100 plane with 42 passengers, flying from Tehran to Grozny, landed on a runway under construction. The plane of the Iranian airline Mahan Air was supposed to land on a ready runway. However, the pilots got confused and landed to the left.

The landing was successful. The plane was not damaged, there were no casualties. The Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office has already launched an investigation into this incident.

Премьер-министр Армении Никол Пашинян, комментируя недавние высказывания зампреда Совета безопасности России Дмитрия Медведева о том, что Армения может превратиться в «новую Украину», заявил:

 

«Что значит — Армения окажется перед подобной угрозой? Армения уже находилась перед такой угрозой и была в подобной ситуации, когда в сентябре 2022 года, в частности, ОДКБ не выполнила свои союзнические обязательства перед Республикой Армения».

A makeshift memorial dedicated to journalist Anna Politkovskaya has been destroyed outside the Moscow building on Lesnaya Street where she lived and was killed. The memorial had appeared the previous day, on the 20th anniversary of her murder.
