The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put Abakar Abakarov on the wanted list, suspected of administering the “Morning of Dagestan” telegram channel. It is he who is credited with calling for unrest at the Makhachkala airport.

According to media reports, Abakarov moved to Ukraine in 2016 and created an “Islamic school” in Odessa together with members of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. After the start of "SVO" he moved to Turkey.
