A former paratrooper from Dagestan, convicted of “discrediting” the army, was released

A former soldier, a native of Dagestan, Askhabali Alibekov (known on YouTube as the blogger “Wild Paratrooper”) was released from a colony in the Krasnodar Territory. Since September 2022, he has been imprisoned in a criminal case for “discrediting” the Russian army.

According to the lawyer, Alibekov wanted to save his son from death in the war with Ukraine. The man advocated peace after the start of the “SVO”. In 2018, he served in the Black Sea Fleet and called for a boycott of the Russian presidential elections.
