Almost 200 Crimean Tatars convicted and persecuted for political reasons

The number of political prisoners and persecuted by the Russian authorities in Crimea is 285. 194 of them are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. This was reported by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

Among those convicted and serving their sentences in the colonies were 128 inhabitants of Crimea, 92 of whom were Crimean Tatars. Restrictions or probation were imposed on 37 and 19 respectively. There are 39 political prisoners from Crimea, 26 of whom are Crimean Tatars. Released - 49 and 31, prosecuted - 32 and 26, respectively.
