Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has warned that Russia’s restrictions on Armenian exports are calling into question the future of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), saying the dispute could mark “the beginning of the end” for the Moscow-led bloc if it is not resolved soon.
The flow of tourists to Armenia increased by 30%
Over 1 million tourists visited Armenia in the first half of 2023, according to the Armenian Tourism Committee. The growth was 30% compared to the record year 2019.
June turned out to be the most crowded - 199,159 visitors, and February was distinguished by the smallest number of tourists - 130,588.
Armenia is visited by tourists mainly from Russia (52%), Georgia (11%) and Iran (6%). Tourist flows from France, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates have also increased.
