A number of cities in the North Caucasus Federal District are among the leaders in housing construction

Grozny, Cherkessk and Vladikavkaz are among the top ten most successful cities in terms of housing construction dynamics per capita.

Grozny took second place with an indicator of 1.9 sq. m per person. First on the list is Krasnodar (2.3 sq. m). The capital of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Cherkessk, was in 8th place (1.2 sq. m), and the capital of North Ossetia, Vladikavkaz, was in 10th place (1.1 sq. m). Stavropol is in 13th place (1.075 sq. m), Nalchik is in 27th place (0.898 sq. m), Makhachkala is in 35th place (0.711 sq. m).

The lowest volumes of housing commissioning per capita are in Novokuznetsk, Magadan and Murmansk, where the figure was less than 0.1 sq. m. In 2024, 107.8 million square meters of housing were commissioned in Russia, which is 2.4% lower than the previous year.
