The regions of the North Caucasus are among the leaders in the number of divorces

North Ossetia, Dagestan, Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria were in the top regions with the highest number of divorces per thousand inhabitants in the first half of 2023. It is reported by Rosstat.

The average number of divorces per thousand people in Russia is 4.6. North Ossetia ranks third in the country with a score of 6.2. For six months, 1,758 acts of divorce were registered in North Ossetia, last year there were 1,262 for the same period.

Fourth place was shared by Dagestan, Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria, where the figure was 6.1. In Dagestan, in the first half of 2022, 4972 divorces were registered, and for the same period of this year - 8123, in Ingushetia an increase was recorded from 1012 to 1312, in Kabardino-Balkaria - from 1264 to 1748.

Chechnya took the 13th position in terms of the number of divorces - 5.7 per thousand inhabitants.
