Regions of the North Caucasus Federal District named leaders in unemployment

Ingushetia ranks first in the Russian Federation in terms of unemployment - the figure is almost 27%. This was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

Also, according to Kotyakov, Dagestan (11.3%) and Chechnya (10%) were at the top of the anti-rating. However, positive dynamics are observed in these regions.

In 4th place in terms of unemployment is Kabardino-Balkaria (8.8%), in 5th place is North Ossetia (8.6%).

According to the ministry, from 2020 to 2023, 600 thousand jobs were created in the North Caucasus Federal District. Almost 360 billion rubles have been invested since 2021 in projects related to the development of tourism, transport, energy, and agriculture.
