Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said Yerevan does not rule out taking its dispute with Russia over the management of the South Caucasus Railway to an international court if the issue cannot be resolved through negotiations. At the same time, he stressed that the Armenian authorities hope to settle the matter through talks.

Earlier forced to leave Russia opposition activist and opponent of the war with Ukraine Arshak Makichyan said that the Russian authorities banned the entry of his brother and father. The activist’s family left Armenia in the 1990s. Arshak obtained Russian citizenship in 2004 and studied at the Moscow Conservatory. He participated in the environmental movement Fridays for Future, entering single pickets. In 2022, Makichyan also participated in anti-war actions.
