The lowest teacher salaries are recorded in the North Caucasus

Ingushetia, Chechnya, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and Dagestan took the last places among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of the level of salaries of school teachers. According to Rosstat, in these regions they vary from 31 to 38 thousand rubles.

In the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, teachers receive the highest salary - 192 thousand rubles. In second place is the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (170 thousand rubles), and in third place is the Magadan Region (160 thousand rubles).

In some regions, one-day salaries are withheld from the salaries of teachers and municipal employees to support participants of the "SVO".

The expenses of Russians on preparing children for school have increased by 60% over two years. In 2024, the average cost of preparing one child was 53.5 thousand, which is 10.5 thousand more than last year, according to a VTsIOM survey. For comparison, in 2022, families spent an average of 33.2 thousand rubles on these needs.
