The Southern District Military Court upheld the verdict of the Maikop Garrison Court against Sergeant Andrei Karachentsov. He was sentenced to 2.5 years in a penal colony for refusing to go to Ukraine for the SVO.
A serviceman who served in Adygea was found guilty of failure to comply with an order during the period of mobilization (Part 2.1 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In March 2023, Karachentsov, during the formation of platoon personnel, announced his refusal to carry out the order to be sent to the military operation zone, citing an exacerbation of the disease. The defense intends to appeal to the cassation court.
