The average bribe in the North Caucasus was estimated at 103 thousand rubles

Over the eight months of 2023, damage from corruption in the North Caucasus amounted to almost a billion rubles. The average bribe is estimated at 103 thousand rubles, said Sergei Bachurin, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District.

During this period, more than 560 criminal cases were initiated in the North Caucasus Federal District for corruption-related crimes. 115 defendants were detained. 966.8 million rubles were reimbursed.
