Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has warned that Russia’s restrictions on Armenian exports are calling into question the future of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), saying the dispute could mark “the beginning of the end” for the Moscow-led bloc if it is not resolved soon.
The name of the suspect in the murder of an imam in Chechnya has become known
Police officers in the Shelkovsky district of Chechnya detained today a suspect in the murder of mullah Abdurakhim Gakaev. The detainee is 30-year-old Turpal-Ali Shamurzaev. The day before, he inflicted multiple stab wounds on Gakaev; the victim died on the spot.
The imam was killed in front of his little son. The killer filmed the crime and posted it online.
Later, Shamurzaev disappeared into the forest, where he was discovered.
A criminal case of murder was opened (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The motive for the crime is not yet known.
