The cost of winter holidays in the North Caucasus has increased by 15-20%

Ski holidays in the North Caucasus are becoming increasingly expensive and inaccessible to the population of the Russian Federation. According to tourist accommodation booking services, in the new season, renting hotel rooms at the resorts of the district has risen in price by about a third.

Thus, from January 9 to April 30, 2024, the average cost of a night in hotels at the ski resorts of the North Caucasus Federal District increased by 15%. In the Elbrus region (Kabardino-Balkaria), prices for accommodation during the New Year holidays increased by 15%, and in Arkhyz (Karachay-Cherkessia) - by 21%. The average check per night at the Rosa Khutor, Krasnaya Polyana and Gazprom ski resorts amounted to 13 thousand rubles - an increase of 26% compared to the previous year.
