Igor Strelkov, a participant in the Russian-Chechen wars, was sentenced to four years in prison
In Moscow, Igor Strelkov (Girkin) was sentenced to four years in prison in the case of calls for extremism. He was also banned from administering websites and pages on social networks for three years.
The former Minister of Defense of the DPR was accused in July 2023 of calling for extremism due to two posts in a telegram channel. One of them was devoted to non-payments to the military, the second to concerns about the possible surrender of Crimea.
Igor Strelkov worked for the FSB for about 16 years. He repeatedly told how he participated in both Russian-Chechen wars as an intelligence officer.
