A rally was held on Stephansplatz Square in Vienna in honor of the anniversary of the death of the first president of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Dzhokhar Dudayev. In addition to representatives of the Chechen diaspora, Ukrainian refugees took part in the action.

The protesters held portraits of Dudayev, flags of Ichkeria and Ukraine, as well as a banner accusing Russia. The widow Alla Dudayeva spoke as part of the event. The international secretary of the Revolutionary Communist International (RCIT), Michael Prebsting, also took the floor.

Dzhokhar Dudayev was killed by a Russian missile on April 21, 1996 on the outskirts of the village of Gekhi-Chu, Urus-Martan region.
