Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Chechnya

Former Prime Minister and President of the Russian Federation, current Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev visited Chechnya. He was met at the airport by the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, and members of his entourage.

The stated purpose of the visit was to visit the Russian Special Forces University (RUS) in Grozny and the military registration and enlistment office, and communicate with volunteers. Medvedev will also hold a meeting with the heads of regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.

In December 2023, Dmitry Medvedev reported that over the course of a year, more than 15 thousand residents of Chechnya were trained at the Russian Special Forces University. Then they went to the “SVO” in Ukraine.
