Four regions of the North Caucasus Federal District have declared holidays to celebrate Eid al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr, one of the key Islamic holidays that concludes Ramadan, will begin on the night of March 19-20. Most republics of the North Caucasus Federal District have declared the holiday non-working.
In Ingushetia, the holiday will last from March 19 to 21. Residents of Chechnya will have an especially long holiday: five consecutive days, from Thursday to Monday, as Constitution Day is celebrated there on March 23, allowing them to combine both events into a longer holiday period.
In Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, the holiday will be on March 20, and in Dagestan, on the 19 and 20. Meanwhile, in North Ossetia and Stavropol Krai, no additional days off are planned for Eid al-Fitr.
