Activists in Moscow have installed a memorial plaque for the 21st time in honor of Anna Politkovskaya, who was murdered in 2006. The plaque, which reads, "Anna Politkovskaya lived in this house and was vilely murdered on October 7, 2006," has previously been destroyed by unknown assailants. Activists intend to continue restoring it until it remains in place forever.
The investigators completed the investigation of criminal cases initiated under extremist article 282.2 of the Criminal Code against the residents of Dagestan, Tatiana Fomina and Zainulla Abdullayev. They consider the Russian Federation an illegitimate State.
According to the investigation, since 2019 Fomina and Abdullayev were part of the so-called «executive committee» «Makhachkalinsk City Council of People’s Deputies of the Dagestan ASSR as part of the RSFSR/USSR». This «executive committee» is a structural subdivision of the JSC «USSR», which is recognized as extremist by the court decision and its activity is prohibited in Russia.
The members of the organization call not to recognize the laws of the Russian Federation, because they consider the state «commercial firm». They do not recognize the demise of the USSR.
