Four people declared "militants" killed in Dagestan
Four men were killed during a counter-terrorist operation in Kaspiysk, Dagestan. According to security forces, they were planning an attack on a law enforcement facility. When attempting to detain them, the attackers opened fire on traffic police officers.
According to the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC), the gang's activities were coordinated by the banned terrorist organization Islamic State. There were no casualties among civilians or personnel.
In addition, a counter-terrorism operation was declared in the Makhachkala village of Semender. There, four men were blocked in a house on the outskirts of the village. Residents were evacuated from houses located in the operation zone, the NAC clarified.
