Kurban Murtazaliyev died in the hospital of Makhachkala after four days of coma. Death could have been caused by late hospitalization. The man lived in Khushet village of Tsumadi district. From there, the villagers, due to the lack of roads, were forced to carry the patient along the mountain path to the place from where he was able to pick up the helicopter sanaviation.
After hospitalization, the man underwent surgery, but he died four days later. This is not the first time that the inhabitants of the isolated village of Khuzhet, where there are no roads and doctors, have to take the sick on foot to the ambulance station through the mountains and snow.
