Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said Yerevan does not rule out taking its dispute with Russia over the management of the South Caucasus Railway to an international court if the issue cannot be resolved through negotiations. At the same time, he stressed that the Armenian authorities hope to settle the matter through talks.
Former Head of Rosimushchestvo Arrested in Dagestan
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Dagestan announced the arrest of the former head of the territorial office of Rosimushchestvo (unofficially identified as Umakhan Abakarov). A criminal case has been opened against him under the article on abuse of office committed for mercenary gain (Section "e" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code).
According to investigators, between 2021 and 2024, the suspect illegally leased and subsequently leased federal land to individuals without a subsoil use license. These actions caused significant damage to state interests.
Documents and electronic media were seized during a search of the suspect's home. A pretrial detention measure is currently being considered.
