Three people detained in Dagestan on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks
Three local residents have been detained in Kaspiysk, Dagestan. According to the FSB, they planned to commit terrorist attacks: blow up an Orthodox church and attack law enforcement officers.
Explosive devices, weapons, and special instructions were found during the search. All three confessed to the above-mentioned plans.
A criminal case has been opened and is being investigated under Part 1 of Article 30 and paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 ("Preparation for a terrorist act"), Part 1 of Article 205.4 ("Organization of a terrorist community and participation in it"), Part 3 of Article 223.1 ("Illegal manufacture of explosives") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
