Alleged "members of the terrorist community" detained in Dagestan

In Derbent, the police detained four people, one of whom was killed "while resisting." According to the investigation, they planned an attack and explosion of the department of the city's Ministry of Internal Affairs. For this purpose, the men purchased components for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices.

On April 22, the police stopped the driver in Derbent to check his documents. According to the investigation, he opened fire and was shot. The deceased 21-year-old Amir Mamedov is considered the fifth member of the terrorist community.

A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of the crimes provided for in ch. 1 Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of a terrorist community and its leadership), part 3 Art. 30, h. 3 Art. 223.1 (preparation for the illegal manufacture of explosives), ch. 1 Art. 30 and p. "a" part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for a terrorist act).
