On the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis, Baku reminded Yerevan of the inadmissibility of territorial claims

The territorial claims against Azerbaijan, which remain in the Constitution of Armenia, remain the main obstacle to the stable future of the region. This was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

“In the post-conflict period, historical opportunities have emerged for the final turning of the bloody pages in the history of the region and the establishment of sustainable peace. Baku resolutely and uncompromisingly demands the end of Armenia’s ongoing territorial claims against Azerbaijan,” the ministry said in a statement on the occasion of the tragic date.

March 31 has been declared the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.

“107 years ago, in 1918, mass killings of Azerbaijanis were carried out in Baku and other cities and villages by the Dashnaks and Bolsheviks. In total, over 40,000 people died on those days. In 1998, by the decree of President Heydar Aliyev, March 31 was declared the “Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis,” the country's Foreign Ministry reminds.
