The number of people injured in a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on the southern Russian city of Volgograd has risen to nine after rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble of a residential building struck overnight on July 31.
In Makeivka, Donetsk region, a military KAMAZ truck knocked down three people at a pedestrian crossing. One of them died. Samrail Yagaev, a serviceman from Chechnya, was reportedly behind the wheel.
The incident occurred on one of the central streets of Makeevka. Pedestrians were crossing the road at the crosswalk when the KAMAZ driver did not stop and let them pass.
On the truck were stickers of the "Russian Special Forces University" located in Chechnya, and the identification code of the region - "95". The deceased is a 20-year-old first-year student of the Donbass National Academy of Construction and Architecture (MYSI).
"Russian Special Forces University" is located in Gudermes. It trains military personnel and those who have signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense.
