Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili criticized the statement by European Union Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas that the European Union supports the Georgian people, but not the country's government.
Skeleton of a man who lived 10,000 years ago discovered in Georgia
In the Bondi cave in western Georgia, archaeologists have found the skeleton of a man (presumably a 12-year-old child) who lived about 10,000 years ago. In the near future, genetic analysis will be conducted with the participation of specialists from the USA, Britain and Japan to decipher the DNA of the remains.
In the above-mentioned cave, opened in 2007, many rare finds have already been made: the oldest thread in the world, traces of an ancient earthquake, rock paintings. Inside the cave there are many meters of sedimentary layers, each representing a certain point in geological time. Before modern people appeared, Neanderthals lived in the cave.
