An Ingush resident was fined 500,000 rubles for publicly supporting terrorist activity through comments on a social media site. The case was investigated by the First Western District Military Court, based in St. Petersburg.
Seven suspects in planning sabotage and attacks on security forces detained in Ingushetia
Security forces detained seven people in the cities of Magas and Nazran. They are suspected of planning sabotage at energy facilities and attacks on law enforcement officers, the FSB of the Russian Federation reports. One of them, who resisted arrest, was killed by security forces.
During searches, explosives, a grenade launcher, 5 machine guns, 9 pistols and 11 grenades were found in hiding places. The Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Ingushetia opened and is investigating a criminal case under Part 1, Part 30, paragraph "a", Part 2, Article 281 (on preparation for sabotage), Part 3, Article 222 (on illegal trafficking in firearms) and Part 3, Article 222.1 (on illegal manufacture of explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
