In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, another serviceman was sentenced to a lengthy prison term for deserting his unit

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court heard the case of serviceman Inylyv, accused of evading military service during mobilization. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

According to the case materials, on May 8, 2025, Inylyv left his military unit without permission and was detained on May 31. At the court hearing, the serviceman admitted his guilt. The court took into account that this was not his first offense: he had previously been convicted of particularly serious crimes and was released from prison in 2018.

Considering the recidivism and the circumstances of the case, the court sentenced Inylyv to five years in a special regime penal colony.

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court has previously sentenced contract soldiers and mobilized personnel to prison terms on numerous occasions. Specifically, Algiz Valitov received a two-year prison sentence, while Amerkhan Kurskiyev received a five-year sentence. Arsen Baev and Murat Khapov were sentenced to seven and five years in prison, respectively.
